James is an Executive in Residence at Springcoast. He currently is the Executive Chair of RapidRatings, Chairs the Advisory Boards of LogicSource and Shared Assessments, is an Advisory Board Member of Arcessio and is a Board member of Verde Money. James was the Chief Executive Officer at RapidRatings, which he co-founded and led the company through multiple PE capital events including a successful PE exit. James also co-founded, grew and sold the broker/dealer, Howland Securities, which raised capital for financial analytics and research businesses. He also co-founded, operated and sold three other businesses in the tech and information services spaces. Prior to these private company activities, James worked at Barclays Capital UBS Securities and Deutsche Bank, where he ran the Yankee Debt Capital Markets business. In total, James was involved in over $20 billion in financings across the Private Credit, Private Equity and Public Debt markets on behalf of companies across many industries, global financial intuitions, and sovereign entities in Asia and EMEA. James graduated from Connecticut College with a BS in Asian Studies and attended Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan.
