Russell is an Executive in Residence and Operating Partner at Springcoast. Prior to Springcoast, Russ was the Chief Commercial Officer at Commerce.com (Nasdaq: CMRC, fka BigCommerce), where he grew revenue from $30M ARR to over $350M per year, raised multiple rounds of financing and drove the company’s M&A strategy, co-led the IPO, and helped the company achieve sustainable profitability. Before Commerce, Russ was the co-founder and CEO of SendMe and prior to that, was an Entrepreneur in Residence with General Catalyst. Russ holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated with second year honors and distinction, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude.
